At this point I should really say, “about me” because this is a company of one.  I’m Joe Cushing and I started Aquatic Castle after several years of shopping for my various home aquaria and never being totally satisfied with the experience.  In brick and mortar stores, items are often not priced or I am unfamiliar with the item and I’m not sure what price is for what fish/coral etc.  I found myself constantly asking what things were and how much they were.  Also, I would want to know if this fish or coral was appropriate for the tank that I have.  Different employees would provide conflicting information on this topic.  Trying to remember this information, while shopping other items, was difficult.  After I got home—forget it.  I have plants and corals to this day that I don’t know the name of, even after being reminded.  I found that online stores have better information available however I found that many of them are inconsistent in providing it.  Also, online stores are often poor at providing an accurate enough description to determine the size of what is being sold.  I know that I can do better.  I know that I can make coral shopping a frustration free process.  So the goal of Aquatic Castle is to always provide customers with all of the information they need to purchase and care for their coral in an easy to understand and refer back to way.  At this time, I am examining different ways to provide you with information long after your purchase.  I considered providing half page binders with a sheet for every coral your order however; binders have gone up greatly in price since the one on my shelf with the $.97 sticker on it and I’m not sure people want their information on paper as the world goes digital.  For now, I have an archive of your past orders available to you if you register for an account.  In the future, I’d like to add an aquatic wiki to the site as well as social networking so people can exchange information with friends and show off their display tanks.  I have lots to do before I get to this step however. 

 In addition to coral, I enjoy planted aquaria and may opt to add plants to this site. If not a full line, I may add an occasional snippet of plants from my personal display tanks.
